Senior Environmental Scientist

Hybrid working from Oxfordshire

Salary - 50,000 - 60,000 (depending on experience)

SRG is working with a leading UK consultancy company in the chemicals sector. Recently, a new vacancy has opened for an environmental scientist to join their team of expert regulatory consultants. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with an in-depth understanding of environmental fate or ecotoxicology who is looking to join a consultancy or advance their career. Applications are welcome from regulatory experts within chemicals manufacturing, regulatory bodies, and consultancy backgrounds. A minimum of 2 days per week working onsite in Oxfordshire is required.

Role Description

1. Providing regulatory support with environmental assessments to ensure dossiers are compliant.
2. Ensuring compliance with REACH environmental hazard and risk assessment requirements.
3. Monitoring studies related to environmental fate and ecotoxicology.
4. Providing support and advice on CLP classifications and PBT assessments.
5. Collaborating closely with clients on various regulatory projects and providing expert environmental advice.

Requirements

1. Extensive recent experience in a similar environmental science, environmental fate, or ecotoxicology role.
2. A strong understanding of REACH regulations and CLP classifications.
3. Up-to-date knowledge of testing practices within environmental fate and ecotoxicity.
4. Knowledge of QSAR modelling (beneficial).
5. Ability to work onsite in a hybrid arrangement with at least two days onsite in Oxfordshire.
6. Full right to work in the UK.
