The role is for EO (civil service grade) or Band 6 (NERC scale) with a salary of £37,405 – £39,694. It is a 24-month fixed-term contract (with potential for extension), which can also be taken as a secondment. Hybrid working is anticipated across multiple locations within the 32 organisations of the NRO. The position is part-time at 50% FTE. The successful candidate will work at the heart of national science policy, connecting science, policy, and society through the work of the newly formed National Research Organisations (NRO).
The NRO represents the UK’s independent and government-affiliated research institutions, delivering world-class science for national and international benefit. The group aims to enhance the UK research landscape by working with the government to improve financial sustainability and accessibility of evidence-based policy. Supported by the Science Minister, the NRO collaborates with DSIT and other government departments to promote evidence-based decision-making and long-term sustainability of UK research.
