Job description

Our client is currently recruiting a skilled and dedicated Facilities Joiner to join their facility in Prestwick. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various wooden structures and fittings within our client’s facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Building Maintenance Support: Assist in general building maintenance as required, including fixing minor issues with structures, walls, and floors.
  2. Project Assistance: Support larger facility improvement projects that require joinery, ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.
  3. Compliance: Ensure that all work meets regulatory requirements and industry standards for safety, design, and functionality.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Time served apprenticeship - Essential
  2. Experienced in building services with basic plumbing skills – Essential
  3. Experienced in machinery and techniques. Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  4. Health & Safety: Solid understanding of building codes and safety regulations, including manual handling and safe use of tools.
  5. Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to think on your feet and resolve issues efficiently.
  6. High level of attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  7. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  8. Dependable and committed to completing tasks to the highest standards.
