Job description

Receptionist - Newry, Mourne and Down District Council - Downpatrick

We are recruiting on behalf of the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council for a Receptionist to work at Downshire Civic Centre, Downpatrick.

Initially this role will be for 9 months on a temporary basis, working part time 20 hrs, 4 to 5 days per week with an hourly rate of £13.63 per hour.

The main duties will include dealing with members of the public in person, handling telephone queries and control admission to the leisure complex. To deal with customer complaints and difficult issues, resolving these where possible or escalating them in accordance with agreed procedures.Respond to the swimming pool panic alarm and liaise with the emergency services as required Be.responsible for shop sales and sports equipment hire, assist with stock control and order preparation.To maintain computerised records as required using a range of Microsoft packages. Undertake a range of clerical tasks including filing, faxing, photocopying, keeping records of found property etc.

What We Need From You

  • 1 year experience in a customer service/receptionist environment
  • X5 GCSEs grade A-C including Math and English
  • Must be computer literate
  • Willing to undergo an Access NI Police Check
