Job description

Operations and Supply Chain Director role, with a growing Consumer Goods Business, aiming to strategically develop their global supply chain operations to enhance efficiency and promote medium to long-term growth.

Client Details

Currently representing a 50 million T/O Consumer Goods Business, with ambitions to grow substantially. The role of Operations & Supply Chain Director will be based in Greater Manchester and requires a strong leadership profile with a proven track record in driving change management to improve supply chain practices across the business.

Description

The Operations & Supply Chain Director will be responsible for:

  1. Driving Supply Chain Strategy: designing and executing supply chain improvements to align with and accelerate business objectives.
  2. Optimizing Logistics and Transportation: overseeing transportation planning, warehouse, and distribution activities.
  3. Supply Chain Leadership: managing a team of 30+ employees, focusing on capability development, process improvements, and customer satisfaction.
  4. QA/QC: leading teams to ensure compliance, uphold quality standards, and maintain commercial margins.
  5. Risk Management: guiding the business in mitigating risks across global operations, including delays, cost increases, and disruptions.
  6. Import Merchandising: leading the import function to ensure operational efficiency and OTIF delivery.

Profile

Ideal candidates based in Greater Manchester will possess:

  • Proven leadership in Supply Chain management within FMCG or Wholesale sectors.
  • Experience with Far East supply chains is advantageous.
  • Experience managing large teams across multiple operations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and implement change effectively across a global supply chain.
  • Ability to influence SLT and C-Suite stakeholders to deliver supply chain objectives.

Job Offer

The client offers a salary range of £80,000-£100,000+ plus benefits. The role is primarily onsite, with some WFH flexibility and adaptable start and finish times.
