Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for Business Financial Controller to join our team in Poland.
The role will initially be responsible for the monthly reporting of the new Freight Forwarding business units, within Poland and will also involve playing a key role in the expansion of the division within this region of Europe.

Key accountabilities:

1. Assisting with the setting up of new business units (from a system & financial reporting perspective, ensuring adherence to global SOP’s)
2. Preparation of the monthly financial & business reporting for the individual business unit(s).
3. Preparation & presentation of monthly business reports (MBR), providing detailed analysis & reporting on the variances to budget and forecasts
4. Preparation & analysis of the monthly Business Unit KPI’s & other operational performance measures
5. Liaising closely with all stakeholders including Operations, Global Shared Service Centre and the Country / Regional Accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting
6. Review the monthly performance with the Business Unit Managers including preparation, monitoring & challenging performance, ensuring follow up & corrective action requirements to ensure optimal operational performance
7. Preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, for the individual Business Units
8. Assisting with the year-end statutory reporting
9. Completion of other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Key requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
2. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an operationally focused role
3. Experience of Oracle would be desirable (not essential)
4. Knowledge of IFRS & local GAAP reporting regulations is an advantage
5. Experience of working within Logistics or Freight Forwarding would be an advantage
