Job Title: Sales Office Manager / Sales Supervisor – Location Birmingham

The Company:

Our Client is one of the UK’s leading Independent Distributors of Construction Materials led by a dynamic Senior Management Team and are undertaking a period of expansion due to success. As a result of their exciting growth plans, our Client is seeking to recruit a Sales Office Manager / Sales Supervisor for the Birmingham B38 location.

Our Client is willing to offer a highly attractive salary package comprising of an extremely attractive basic salary coupled with an exceptional individual rewards package to ensure high achievers are suitably rewarded.

The Role:

  • Reports to: Branch Manager (Birmingham).
  • Indirectly reports to: UK Sales Director.
  • Managing a fast-paced sales office ensuring all sales processes and operations are effectively delivered to provide an exceptional customer experience. Taking ownership and leadership for the commercial proposition including guidance on margin achievement to provide customer value for money and appropriate returns for the business.
  • Coaching, developing and supporting the sales team to enhance their performance and knowledge base.
  • Hands-on setting the example in selling insulation, drylining, and associated products to merchant and contractor channels.
  • Maximising the branch ledger of customers alongside new business development in target markets.
  • Be prepared to go the extra mile to support the ambitions of the branch and assist the branch manager in achieving overall branch effectiveness.

Must Have Attributes:

  • Hunger and determination to increase revenue streams from existing customers and source new customer business through proactive team management and personal contribution.
  • Commercially astute with a demonstrable record of managing margins.
  • Effective relationship builder – externally (customers and suppliers) and internally.
  • Strong people management skills and able to develop colleagues to their full potential.
  • Effective sales knowledge of either insulation or drylining systems.
  • Experience of holding a personal minimum annual sales budget of £1m p.a.
  • Exemplary work ethic and team player.
  • Strive for excellence in all sales and customer-related matters.
  • Strong sales administration disciplines – quote management, CRM system, diary.
  • Rises to the challenge of deadlines and a potentially fast-changing commercial landscape.
  • Enjoys the success of achieving sales and margin targets.
  • Drive, enthusiasm, competitive but not at any cost.
  • Plenty of initiative.
  • Tenacious for the sale.

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience.

Commission: £9000 p.a. OTE rising to £22,500 for achieving stretch targets (paid monthly). Other: Pension scheme, 21 days holiday + statutory.
