Job description

Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual who has the ability to work well within a small dedicated team delivering a high standard of Reception and administrative support to the Plastics Trauma Department at weekends.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly outlook, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment. The role involves a high level of patient contact.

Main duties of the job
  1. Create and process patient referrals.
  2. Be patient-facing, covering the Trauma Reception desk.
  3. Contact patients to reschedule clinic appointments.
  4. Answer telephone queries and relay messages, including rescheduling or canceling appointments.
  5. Handle retrospective clinic bookings on Careflow.
  6. Deal with enquiries from service users in a helpful manner.
  7. Upload documents to EDMS following Trust protocol.
  8. Ensure all relevant patient information is recorded and updated on the Trust's PAS system.
  9. Deliver patient records safely between departments.
