Job description

Salary on appointment will be £24,344 per annum with an annual increment up to£25,733per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Learning Mentor to join the Outreach team todevelop a personalised and supportive relationship with students in year 9 through to year 13from less advantagedbackgrounds, attendingNorfolk-based schools and participating in the Future Forward Programme.

Key duties of the role include:

  • To meet regularly with mentees on a one-to-one and small group basis.
  • To draw on a combination of tutoring, mentoring and coaching strategies to increase mentee’s confidence and ability in a set of pre-defined skills.

You will have experience working with young people and be educated to Level 3 (or hold equivalent experience in a similar role).

This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
