Job Description

Cambridge Regional College is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Mentor - Health & Personal Care to join our Creative Industries department at our Cambridge Campus.

You will join us on a part-time (22.5 hours), term-time basis for 38 weeks of the year. In return, you will receive a salary of £12,202.06 per annum, which is equivalent to a full-time salary of £23,519 per annum.

About the role

You will collaborate with teachers to enhance learning and attainment, promote social inclusion, self-esteem, and independence among students. You will support students across various vocational areas, helping them access the curriculum, participate actively, and reach their potential.

Primary duties include:
  • Empowering students to achieve their personalized learning outcomes, including Education, Health and Care Plan targets.
  • Adapting learning resources to ensure accessibility.
  • Supporting delivery of therapy interventions such as Physiotherapy and Speech & Language Therapy, following professional guidance.
  • Reviewing support needs with students, following college procedures.
  • Undertaking relevant training and development.

You should be proactive, tactful, empathetic, and flexible. Qualifications required include GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths, with experience working with SEND being advantageous.
