MERITUS is recruiting for a Tools & Jigs Engineer to join the Metrology department of our major aviation client onsite in Broughton on an initial 6-month contract.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure successful industrialization of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting Projects (creation, development, and modification) until final acceptance and handover to the Operations Team.
• Integrate mature industrial technologies in line with R&D.
• Collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and consolidate our client's Industrial Vision.
• Design and/or specify the requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements.
• Contribute to CDT MFT for production investigations utilizing tooling and metrology skills.

Main Outputs:

• Qualified Jigs and Tools assets.
• Interpretation of aircraft design models and their relay into operations and support.
• Definition of certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification processes, features, and schedules.
• Jigs and Tools Technical Assessments.
• Jigs and Tools Technical Acceptance Reports.
• Jigs and Tools assets Design and Manufacturing data set.

Required Skills:

• Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines, making technical decisions daily.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems.
• Experience with aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures.
• Understanding of interactions with other Manufacturing Engineering and Business functions.
• Leadership skills and self-motivation are desirable.
• Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment is required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
