A leading healthcare provider in Gorleston-on-Sea is seeking dedicated professionals for a role in the Anaesthetics Department. Attendance at local, regional, and national training courses will be encouraged. Study leave is granted in accordance with the national Terms and Conditions of Service for Hospital Medical and Dental Staff (England and Wales).
Continuation of an applicant’s existing research, involvement in current departmental research, and development of new projects will be strongly encouraged.
Subject to the provisions of the Terms and Conditions of Service, applicants are expected to observe the Trust’s policies and procedures on clinical matters, follow standing orders, and adhere to financial instructions.
Applicants must also observe local and national employment and personnel policies, and comply with Regional and Trust Health and Safety policies.
The Anaesthetics Department is part of the Division of Medicine, Diagnostics and Clinical Support, and the Division of Surgery and Women’s & Children’s Services. Responsibilities include Anaesthetic Services, High Dependency and Intensive Care, Pain Relief, Palliative Care, Operating Theatres, Recovery, and CSSD. The hospital also has an extra contractual Hyperbaric Chamber.
The department hosts an active teaching and research programme, with links to the University of East Anglia. On-site facilities include a purpose-built training and education centre, a refurbished library, and a learning café area.
