An established industry player is seeking a Solicitor or FCILEx to join their Affordable Housing Team in Exeter. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of non-contentious property matters, including development site acquisitions and commercial landlord-tenant work. With a focus on collaboration, the ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of PQE in commercial property law and be capable of managing their own caseload. The firm promotes a flexible working environment, including hybrid options, making it an attractive opportunity for those looking to balance professional and personal commitments while contributing to a respected team in the legal sector.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Solicitor / Legal Executive to work in their Affordable Housing Team based in Exeter. This role is suited to an experienced housing litigation Solicitor or FCILEx.
Our client is recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK legal directories in a number of fields including their Social Housing practice.
Your role as part of our busy and nationally recognised Registered Providers team will include a broad range of non-contentious property matters such as development site acquisition, site set up for plot sales, commercial landlord and tenant work, conditional contracts, and options. Ideally, you will also have experience with affordable housing and shared ownership transactions involving s.106 agreements and model shared ownership leases. You will need to be capable of running your own caseload without supervision and to be able to support the partners in the team with their caseloads, where appropriate.
You will be a Solicitor or FCILEx with a minimum of 4 years PQE in general commercial property work, including development and landlord and tenant. Social housing experience is preferred but is not essential for the right candidate.
You will be an effective communicator who is willing to support and guide other less experienced members of the team. As well as being comfortable working collaboratively, you will also be able to work independently whilst at all times ensuring that the clients’ needs are paramount and that long-standing trusted relationships with clients are maintained.
Our client’s aim to take a flexible approach to our working hours and welcome applications from anyone who feels suited to the role but would like to discuss this first. Hybrid working is available for this role.
