Job description

As Trainee Sales Executive you will be joining a global brand leader. With a bespoke training programme, you will be learning all about the product, delivering exceptional customer service and excelling in sales along with running a profitable retail centre. This role is all about developing business opportunities, managing and building relationships. Based in St. Albans this role is full time and permanent, Mon to Fri offering a starting salary of circa £27,500 and an OTE of £32,000.

Key Accountabilities for the Trainee Sales Executive:

  1. Drive your self-development by engaging with the training programme
  2. Undertake retail and customer service activities within the companies shop to optimise and exceed sales targets, profitability and customer satisfaction
  3. Identifying and researching new business leads
  4. Grow customer accounts via targeted cold and warm calling
  5. Visiting customers weekly
  6. Manage cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies
  7. Assisting customers with sales, queries and after sales service
  8. Conduct stock takes as requested
  9. Re-stocking/replenishing items
  10. Understand the range of company products
  11. Administration of sales orders received
  12. Administer any returns
  13. Handle parts enquiries
  14. Attend training, meetings and company events onsite and at head office

Skills and attributes required for the Trainee Sales Executive:

  1. Excellent customer service skills
  2. Ambitious, proactive and driven
  3. Keen interest in your own self development
  4. Ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues
  5. Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  6. Highly organised
  7. High degree of computer literacy
  8. Customer centric individual
  9. Full UK driving licence essential
