Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and passionate registered Consultant Psychological Professional to lead the continued development of colleagues' post-incident response support, under the portfolio of the Chief Psychological Professions Officer for the Trust. This is a new and exciting substantive leadership position. It builds on the committed work that is already in place across our Birmingham and Solihull services focusing on our post-incident response support for colleagues. In this role, you will provide clinical leadership in the development and delivery of psychological post-incident response support, working closely with our People Team, Trust Occupational Health providers, and divisional service colleagues. You will have delegated responsibilities for the out-of-hours Psychology on-call provision and will be eligible to participate in this out-of-hours Psychology on-call service. Your leadership experience and expertise in co-production, change management, and quality improvement are key to the success of this role. The position will be based at the Trust HQ, with flexible and agile working arrangements, including attendance at Trust sites as required.
Main duties of the job
As a highly experienced Consultant level practitioner psychologist, you will be responsible for developing, providing, evaluating, and governing psychological post-incident response support, including reflective practice for colleagues, and managing the out-of-hours Psychology on-call service. You will also oversee key service development issues aligned with local and Trust strategic plans related to post-incident support, and liaise with commissioning and provider partners, including Trust Occupational Health providers.
To provide clinical leadership in the development and delivery of psychological post-incident response support, including reflective practice for colleagues, and delegated responsibility for the out-of-hours Psychology on-call service. You will take responsibility for key service development issues in line with strategic plans and liaise with relevant partners to ensure effective post-incident support across services.
