We have Orthopaedic Theatre Practitioners/ODP/Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse vacancies available at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. We care for our staff as much as we care for our patients and encourage you to join our friendly and supportive Theatre team.

Our department of 12 Operating Theatres offers a structured induction programme with supernumerary time to help you settle into your role, tailored to meet individual needs. This is fully facilitated by our Clinical Educators and supported by our experienced staff.

Applicants should have a passion for working within our Orthopaedic Theatres. Previous Orthopaedic experience is desirable.

As part of the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will play a vital role in the daily operations of the department. Responsibilities include providing skilled assistance during the administration and maintenance of anaesthesia, undertaking scrubbing and circulating duties across various surgical specialties, and providing skilled care in PACU while maintaining high standards of patient care. The post holder will also be responsible for the organisational and operational management of theatres in the absence of senior staff.
