Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will support the neonatal team, assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate care programs, and set standards. This includes delivering education and training, including mandatory training and clinical skills development within Neonatology.

Person specification

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse, Children’s Nurse, or Midwife
  • Mentorship and assessment experience in the clinical area or equivalent
  • Completion of all modules of the Neonatal course

Skills

  • Proficiency in computer usage, including NHS databases, data input, and information retrieval
  • Understanding of current NHS issues and reforms in neonatal services
  • Awareness of the Toolkit for high-quality neonatal services
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge
  • Experience in budget management and resource efficiency
  • Commitment to service improvement and efficiency
