We have an exciting new opportunity in the Whitchurch-Market Drayton area for an Assistant Service Manager who can share in Bethphage’s values.
As the Assistant Service Manager will provide high quality support to adults with learning disabilities and Autism, ensuring they are supported to develop and maintain independence, take part in community activities, Leisure, education and work opportunities in a person-centred way.
The role will involve you supporting the Service Manager to lead the day-to-day management of three supported living services providing twenty-four hour care, seven days a week. Also four smaller outreach services, all require effective management for people with learning disabilities and Autism. You will ensure your teams provide high quality support, to develop and maintain the supported people's independence, take part in community activities, leisure, education and work opportunities of the person's choice.
The ideal person will be an experienced health and social care worker, a good communicator, able to network and work with people at all levels. They should be confident and knowledgeable of the sector, able to get on with the role and deal with issues, knowing when to seek help and advice. They will be able to use IT and write legibly, have significant experience of person-centred and positive behaviour support.
Candidates will be considered who do not have a level 3 qualification, but have a willingness to work towards this. Though you will have suitable supervisory experience and professional knowledge in the sector, ideally in learning disability.
The role will be 4 days off rota and 1 day on rota completing a support shift in one of the services. Some evening and weekend working maybe required.
