What is great about this opportunity?

Our team in Cardiff provides temporary supported accommodation for males who require a safe space due to experiencing domestic abuse/violence. As one of the few refuges in Wales, we provide crucial support to those in need. Currently, we have 5 residents at Cedar House and 2 dispersed flats in Cardiff for males with children. Our focus is to support individuals in feeling safe, accessing services such as mental health, substance misuse, police, and legal services, and supporting their access to independent accommodation. • Using your skills and talents to engage with clients
  • Supporting people to achieve their potential
  • Developing your networking skills by collaborating with external agencies
  • Encouraging community engagement

Our service aims to support our clients in leading successful, independent lives and feeling safe in their homes and communities. You will motivate and encourage clients to participate in community activities and promote the development of life and social skills. You will work flexibly within a team to develop, implement, and review support and risk management plans tailored to individual needs, preferences, and aspirations.

You will collaborate closely with partner agencies, including local authorities, social and private landlords, to explore sustainable and affordable housing options and ensure that homelessness duties under the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 are fulfilled.
