An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardiac Assessment Unit. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual who is committed to delivering excellent patient care to join our small but friendly team.
The Cardiac Assessment Unit supports patients in their journey through the ED and the SDEC pathway. The successful candidate will work closely with the Cardiology Specialist Nurses, specialist registrars, and consultants to deliver nursing care to patients presenting with a wide variety of cardiovascular symptoms. Working flexibly and autonomously at times, you will be a vital part of the team that provides diagnostic and therapeutic treatments.
Experience of working in an acute hospital setting, outstanding organisational and communication skills are essential, together with the ability to perform ECGs, cannulation, and venepuncture. Personal and professional development is important to our team, and this will be facilitated by a structured local competency programme. As you develop, you will be supported to apply for the cardiac care modules.
