Part Time Accounts Assistant - Truro / Hybrid - £25-28,000 FTE

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively reengaged by a longstanding client, an innovative manufacturing business considered to be a leader in their field of expertise. The company seeks to recruit an Accounts Assistant to strengthen its growing finance function - a permanent role offering a flexible 25 hour working week. This employer also permits a (post-training) hybrid working arrangement for those that require, potentially offering almost completely remote working.

Working closely with a highly experienced Senior Management Accountant (also introduced by Trial Balance Consulting), the successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the day-to-day financial transactions of the business. Key responsibilities include:

1. Administration of the company’s online banking systems, adding and updating beneficiary details
2. All aspects of accounts payable and acting as an initial point of contact for supplier queries
3. Administration of the sales ledger function, raising invoices
4. Credit control
5. Producing statements
6. Reconciliation of transactions
7. Maintaining and updating the company’s bespoke digital accounting platform
8. Monitoring of finance email inbox
9. Assisting with ongoing accounting projects

We’re more focused on relevant experience than qualification, so we welcome applications from those who are part/fully AAT or qualified by experience. The person-fit is almost as crucial as technical experience as the successful candidate will be working as part of a small, tenacious, and busy team.
