Job summary

A leading tech consulting firm is looking for a Contract Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines using Palantir Foundry or Gotham. The role requires expertise in Python and SQL, strong ETL skills, and experience with cloud platforms. This position offers a competitive day rate of £650 outside IR35 and a flexible working location between Cheltenham and London.

Qualifications

Role: Contract Data Engineer – Palantir Foundry/Gotham
Location: Cheltenham or London
Day Rate: £650 p/d Outside IR35
Length: Initial 6 months

As a Data Engineer, you’ll build and maintain scalable data pipelines in Palantir Foundry or Gotham, managing object models and transformations using tools like Code Workbook and Contour. You’ll work with stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions, ensure governance and quality, and support deployments across cloud or on-prem environments.

Key Skills

• Strong experience with Palantir Foundry or Gotham
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and ideally Java/Scala
• Solid background in ETL, data modeling, and data pipelines
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) & containers (Docker/K8s)
• Experience working in secure, regulated environments
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
• Desirable: Palantir certification, Airflow/Spark experience, CI/CD knowledge
