£25,989.00 full-time rate, pro rata for term time and 32.5 hours/week

Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Shelley First School.

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and caring individual who is committed, hardworking, reliable, and passionate about outdoor learning and/or forest school, especially for children with SEND.

This role is part of our Education Support job family, supporting schools to deliver high-quality services. You will be part of a supportive team within the school, assisting in delivering effective education and curriculum aligned with school policies and procedures.

The ideal candidates will:

  • Have experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEND
  • Be passionate about the outdoors and trained or willing to train in outdoor learning/forest school
  • Have experience supporting children in co-regulation and emotional well-being strategies
  • Be caring and dedicated to enabling every child's potential
  • Be committed to safeguarding all students
  • Be highly organized, flexible, and adaptable
  • Be creative and dynamic when working one-to-one with pupils
  • Be a team player committed to contributing positively
