Educational Support Worker

Flexibility is required to work across different groups with various learner needs, from Entry to Level 1 learners.

• You must be UK based and have the right to work in the UK.
• For office based and hybrid roles, your commute to the place of work must be less than 1 hour.

• Enhanced DBS disclosure - Children & Adults

• A good level of education with a minimum A*-C in Maths and English
• A recognised qualification in support work (or equivalent certification)
• Experience in working with people with learning difficulties
• Ability to recognise and respond to the needs of individuals, liaising with teaching and support staff to ensure individual support needs are met and adhered to.

You will support young people with High Needs by removing barriers to learning, promoting participation, and assisting with the delivery of education programmes in small groups or individually. You will ensure the safety of learners at all times and make sure that all work complies with statutory regulations, Council guidance, and best practices.

• Contribute to identifying the support needs of young people with High Needs.
• Act as a key worker for learners, addressing barriers to learning and supporting bursary applications.
• Facilitate the smooth transfer of information between services, settings, and families.
• Conduct assessments, develop personalized materials, and create strategies to support learners.
• Participate in accreditation processes, collaborate with others for target setting, and provide personal care, first aid, and medication as needed.
