Salary: £12.13 - £12.39 Per Hour

The role:
Kickstart or reinvent your career with an exciting 2-year fixed-term Apprenticeship as an Educational Support Officer, offering hands-on experience and professional growth opportunities. We are on the lookout for multiple eager individuals to join our team!

This opportunity will involve 3 hours taught element one evening a week to complete the apprenticeship framework with 21 hours per week on-the-job training.

  • Part-time (24 hours per week)
  • Term-time (36 weeks per annum)
  • £12.13 - £12.39 per hour
  • Tycoch campus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational, emotional, social and personal support to students with Additional Learning Needs
  • Participate in and support the provision of learning programmes as directed by the lecturers
  • Assist in the manual handling of students with personal care requirements in accordance with the individual care plan

About you:

  • GCSE passes in Maths and English (grades A-C) or equivalent are desirable
  • Basic IT skills i.e. operate a computer, familiar with Microsoft Word and the Internet
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of students with learning difficulties
