Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Research Assistant to help build and embed the educational psychology research function in Edinburgh. The post supports Educational Psychologists, school staff and colleagues with literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and reporting.

The role involves preparing, delivering and evaluating interventions, with PVG scheme checks and a commitment to equality and flexible working. Salary is £34,452–£40,501 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting educational psychology projects or research is desirable.
• Ability to collect and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.

Responsibilities

• Support Educational Psychologists, school staff and colleagues with preparation, delivery and evaluation of interventions.
• Conduct literature reviews and collect qualitative and quantitative data.
• Analyse data using statistical methods and present data in accessible formats.
• Write reports and support the creation and delivery of presentations.
