Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking multiple Educational Psychologists to join the Educational Psychology Service in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The posts are full-time across 37 hours per week with opportunities for part-time reduced hours.

You will be professionally qualified and registered with the HCPC, focusing on graduated response and systemic work while collaborating with schools and families to support children’s learning and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified Educational Psychologist registered with HCPC.
  • Experience with graduated response and systemic work.
  • Ability to work in partnership with schools and families.

Responsibilities

Rotherham Educational Psychology Service is an established, well regarded and expanding service, staffed by a consistent group of friendly and committed Educational Psychologists. We work alongside other partner agencies to remove barriers to learning, improve opportunities for social inclusion and support the emotional well-being of Rotherham's children, and as importantly strive to support the wellbeing of our team members. We offer a traded and statutory service which allows a range of work to be negotiated including; training, consultation, systemic work and staff wellbeing, as well as individual casework. We primarily work at a graduated response level of involvement. Our Experts at Hand offer, provides allocation time across the team for early intervention, training and project-based work to strengthen inclusive practice.

We are proud to be partners in the nationally acclaimed co-production work of Rotherham's 'Genuine Partnerships'. This home grown relational model promotes and celebrates the voice of children and young people with SEND and their families. We also work within a range of services including the Virtual School, on the neurodevelopmental pathway and in the Child Development Centre.

We are excited to recruit a full-time main grade Educational Psychologist to join the service. Candidates would be professionally qualified and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, unless currently in training. We would be interested in applications from colleagues able to start as soon as possible as well as those on the doctoral training programme.
