Educational Psychologist - Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Pay Rate: £600 per day.
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week.

Pertemps is recruiting an Educational Psychologist to join the team in Wolverhampton.

The role of the Educational Psychologist is to act as a psychologist to the Council, schools, and other agencies on the needs of children and their families, and to take a leading role in delivering psychology services within a multi-agency area team. This includes:

  1. Identifying, assessing, and advising on the educational, behavioural, and emotional needs of children, and offering advice and support to their families.
  2. Providing evidence-based interventions for individuals and groups as appropriate.
  3. Identifying areas of need and provision in a wider context, and undertaking appropriate preventative work.
  4. Collaborating closely with colleagues in other teams, departments, and agencies.
  5. Contributing to the service development plan through involvement in or coordination of specific working groups, projects, or research activities, as agreed with the Principal or Senior Educational Psychologist.
  6. Reporting to and advising the Principal or Senior Educational Psychologist on matters related to the delivery of an efficient and effective Educational Psychology Service.
About You
  • A good honours degree in psychology or equivalent.
  • A postgraduate qualification in educational psychology or equivalent (achieved or working towards).
  • Eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) (achieved or working towards).
  • Previous experience as an educational psychologist or trainee indicating effective practice at casework, advisory, research, and Inset levels.
