North Lanarkshire Council is seeking qualified educational psychologists to join their Educational Psychological Service. The role involves improving outcomes for children and families, requiring a postgraduate qualification in educational psychology and registration with the British Psychological Society. Applications are invited from suitably qualified educational psychologists for a position within the Educational Psychological Service.
Applicants require Graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society and a postgraduate qualification in educational psychology. Registration with or eligibility to register with HCPC, subject to successful completion of the appropriate BPS qualification, is required.
North Lanarkshire Educational Psychological Service is one of the largest in Scotland and plays a key role in supporting the community to improve outcomes for children, young people, their families, and communities.
The service offers a diverse range of professional skills and provides opportunities for continuing professional development, joint working, and research. Psychologists can contribute to national and local priorities through innovative and effective practice.
We seek innovative, collegiate, and values-led psychologists who will participate fully in advancing the service's ambitious Plan for North Lanarkshire.
The service operates in two teams based in different offices across North Lanarkshire. The appointment will be to the service, with the specific remit and office base determined by service needs and priorities.
