Job summary

Havering Educational Psychology Service, within the London Borough of Havering's SEND Service, is recruiting Educational Psychologists and trainees in their final year. The role focuses on early intervention and capacity building in link schools, with a reduced EHCP caseload and time for broader projects across Virtual School and Youth Justice.

The post sits in a multi-professional Team Around the School approach with protected time for training, supervision and policy work, and flexible/hybrid

Qualifications

• Qualified Educational Psychologist or final-year trainee in training
• Enhanced DBS check required
• Commitment to anti-racist practice and applying psychology to help children, young people and families in Havering

Responsibilities

• Provide early intervention support in link schools and settings
• Carry a reduced EHCP allocation
• Train, consult and support schools, colleges and SEND units
• Contribute to design and delivery of SEND Training Offer
• Undertake secondments and projects with Virtual School, Youth Justice Service and other partners
• Collaborate with Advisory Teachers and other colleagues within Team Around the School
