The EP must be able to work flexibly, manage complex work streams simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. Applicants should have experience of working within a consultation-based model of service delivery. They will need to demonstrate an understanding of the unique contribution EPs can make to education and wellbeing.

The EPS has a long history of providing high-quality services to schools, as well as training and capacity-building activities. Applicants should evidence collaborative and team-working skills to contribute to the development of the EPS. Knowledge of the ALNET Act (2018) and The Additional Learning Needs Code for Wales (2021) is essential.

The successful candidate will report to the Principal and Senior Educational Psychologists.

Applicants must have attained an undergraduate and/or higher degree granting Graduate Basis for Recognition (GBR) with the British Psychological Society (BPS), and be registered as a practitioner EP with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), or be in their final year of a doctoral training programme in educational psychology that confers eligibility to register with the HCPC as an EP.
