Job Description:

Pertemps is recruiting for an Educational Psychologist to join the Children & Young Peoples team within the Vulnerable Learners division for the Local Authority in Bournemouth.

Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week.

Rate of Pay: £550 per day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the provision of a high-quality Educational Psychology Service for children and young people, families, schools, and other service providers as required by the Local Authority.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the Educational Psychology Service and with other colleagues in the Vulnerable Groups Teams and other professional groups to ensure the coordinated delivery of a comprehensive support service.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including voluntary agencies, to provide coherent support for children, young people, and their families.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the Educational Psychology Service.

Ideal candidate will be:

  • Holding a professional qualification in Educational Psychology at Masters Level or working in the final year towards a doctorate in Educational Psychology.
  • Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.
  • Possessing a good Honours degree in psychology or an equivalent recognized by the British Psychological Society.
  • Having experience working with vulnerable learning children.
