Job description

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for an Educational Psychologist on a 10-month contract initially, with the possibility of further extension.

1. Will need 2 anonymised reports.
2. The position is ongoing as long as vacancies exist in the EPS.
3. In accordance with AEP guidance, two days are allocated per assessment, and payment is made upon submission of the completed report.
4. The role involves in-person assessments, but remote assessments are also considered.
5. Swindon Educational Psychology Service seeks additional locum support for advice on Education, Health and Care needs assessments.
6. The candidate should be available for face-to-face work in Swindon schools; report writing and administrative tasks can be done from home.
7. An office base is available centrally, but attendance is optional.
8. The post holder will report to the Principal or Deputy Educational Psychologist; suitable IT equipment will be provided.
9. Opportunities for virtual CPD and team meetings are available monthly, with informal support and supervision as needed.
10. We are trialling the DfE national template for EPs, offering a chance to contribute to the profession's future.
11. While in-person assessments are preferred, remote assessments are considered if conducted in accordance with AEP guidance.
