Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking Year 2/3 Trainee Educational Psychologists (TEPs) and qualified EPs to join a dynamic, research-led team delivering psychology differently. You will assess, consult and intervene for children and young people, collaborating with families, schools and multiagency partners, while supporting SEND processes and service development in a flexible hybrid setting.

KeyResponsibilities:

Providepsychological assessment, consultation and intervention for children and youngpeople (CYP), working collaboratively with families, schools and otherprofessionals

Supportschools, education providers and parents by offering advice, guidance, strategiesand recommendations to meet identified needs

Contributeto SEND processes and statutory assessments, including reviews, reassessments,tribunal attendance and written reports

Monitor,evaluate and communicate outcomes of interventions, providing clear verbal andwritten feedback toparents, schools and relevant stakeholders

Delivertraining, supervision and professional support to colleagues and educationstaff, sharing expertise to improve outcomes for CYP

Promotesafeguarding, evidence-based practice and service development, ensuringcompliance with HCPC standards, child protection procedures and ongoingresearch-informed practice
