Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Senior Educational Psychologist to lead strategic development within the Educational Psychology Service and oversee statutory and traded work for children and young people aged 0 to 25 years.

The postholder will conduct consultations at individual, group and system levels, support inclusion and SEND reforms, and provide professional leadership with DBS enhanced checks required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Educational Psychologist registered with the BPS.
• Experience with statutory and non-statutory work in education.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and develop psychological practice.

Job description

To provide high-quality educational psychology services that improve outcomes for children and young people aged 0 to 25 years. The postholder will undertake statutory and non-statutory work, provide consultation and intervention at individual, group and systemic levels, support inclusion and SEND reforms, contribute to service development, and provide professional leadership within the Educational Psychology Service. The Senior Educational Psychologist will be expected to lead areas of strategic development, support the delivery of traded and statutory services, supervise colleagues and trainees, and contribute to the development of psychologically informed practice across education, health and care systems. An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
