Cardinal Griffin Catholic College, a Catholic secondary school committed to nurturing academic and personal development, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Education Welfare Officer.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing student attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies and statutory regulations. Your efforts will directly contribute to student welfare and success, fostering a positive learning environment.

About the role:

We are seeking to recruit an Education Welfare Officer who will be responsible for improving school attendance, who will also act as family liaison/support and lead co-ordinated support.

The successful candidate will work directly with parents to help them understand and fulfil their legal responsibilities in relation to school attendance.

They will be required to work with both the school and other external agencies to reduce persistent absence, improve social/educational inclusion, and behaviour. This role will require the successful candidate to be the school’s Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
