Job summary

The Castle School in Thornbury is seeking an Education Support Assistant to reinforce teaching by delivering targeted interventions for pupils, including those with special needs. You will support students in and out of class, helping them reach their potential and maintain high expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with individual needs, including those with EHCPs.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and adapt to changing needs.
• Confident delivering pre-planned lessons to small groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions to identified pupils.
• Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom to promote development.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and families and act as a role model.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
