HMP Aylesbury is seeking a Learning and Skills Manager to lead the Learning, Skills and Employment function within the establishment. You will drive educational provision, quality assurance, and policy implementation to support employability and education for prisoners.

The role includes line management, planning, and coordinating OLASS and non-OLASS learning, ensuring delivery of high standards, and contributing to financial and performance targets in a safety-critical environment.

Formación

• Qualifications in area of work or working towards them.
• NVQ assessor qualification or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of learning, skills and employment policies and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee OLASS and non-OLASS learning provision, including industries and gymnasium.
• Coordinate Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) and assurance frameworks.
• Manage learning and skills activities to deliver a coherent prisoner learning journey from reception to release.
• Plan, co-ordinate learning provision and ensure quality assurance across the establishment.
• Chair quarterly meetings and manage budgets and resources within delegated limits.
• Lead and develop staff within Learning Skills and Employment; ensure H&S compliance and SDIs.
