Job summary

A leading top 50 international law firm invites applications for a Senior Associate to join its Education team. You will work with over 300 educational establishments from nurseries to universities, handling governance, student matters, data protection and a broad range of contracts.

The role involves collaboration with Boards of Governors, Bursars and school proprietors across multiple institutions, with a defined path to partnership and opportunities in London offices.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 6 years PQE in education work.
• Experience in regulatory education law is desirable.
• Strong governance and Board liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on education law matters for a wide range of educational institutions.
• Support governance matters, student issues and employment, and data protection projects.
• Draft and negotiate education contracts, outsourcing and procurement documents.
• Advise on charity, company law and governance for academy trusts and independent schools.

Job description

A leading top 50 international law firm are seeking a Senior Associate to join their highly successful Education team.

Role

You will join a highly regarded team who work with over 300 educational establishments from nurseries through to higher and further education colleges and universities.

The team work closely with institutions on student matters, governance and employment as well as data protection matters, projects, commercial contracts, outsourcing and procurement. The team also advise on governance for academy trusts, charity law and company law.

You will work closely with Boards of Governors, Heads Bursars, Commercial School Groups and School Proprietors of independent schools.

You will work on a broad range of educational matters, leading on the work the team do with academies.

Candidate

You will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 6 years PQE and a solid grounding in education work. The firm are open to candidates who have a particular specialism in regulatory law.
