Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Safeguarding Education Team Manager to oversee education safeguarding across Nottingham, guiding strategy and practice to keep children safe. The role involves leadership over a dedicated team and collaboration with schools, academy trusts and safeguarding partners.

You will influence policy, drive improvements, and respond to emerging safeguarding priorities, shaping systems and partnerships city-wide.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional (QTS, Social Work or equivalent)
• Significant experience leading education safeguarding services and practice
• Proven track record of strategic leadership and service improvement
• Strong partnership, influencing and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding education services and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership to the safeguarding team and shape policy and practice.
• Collaborate with schools, academy trusts, Children's Services and safeguarding partners to address priorities.
