Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in London/Berlin seeks a Policy and Communications Advisor to help implement education policy influence and advocacy initiatives. You will support the Senior Director and ELT to shape external messaging and ensure IRC’s education programs have visible impact.

You will draft talking points, write pieces for broad audiences, and liaise with External Relations and Communications teams.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years in policy/advocacy within humanitarian or development settings.
• Experience producing communications materials for diverse audiences.
• Ability to translate technical content into clear, audience-appropriate language.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of IRC’s education influence strategy and policy goals.
• Draft talking points, presentations, and think pieces for external audiences.
• Coordinate with Education SMT and external relations teams on messaging and events.
• Maintain core briefs and policy documents for program teams and headquarters.
