Job summary

Littledown School is seeking a School Business Manager to lead operational functions across our school, ensuring systems, resources and services are managed effectively, efficiently and compliantly.

The role is suitable for an experienced education professional with at least three years' experience in managing business, finance or operational functions, strong budgeting, procurement, risk management and compliance, and excellent communication to engage staff, families and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing business, finance or operational functions in education for at least three years.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Confidence analysing financial information and managing budgets.
• Strong understanding of compliance, risk management and operational procedures.
• Effective communicator building relationships with staff, families and stakeholders.
• Proactive, solution-focused and committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial management, budgeting and resource planning across schools.
• Oversee human resources and recruitment processes.
• Manage premises and facilities across the site.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Oversee procurement and contract management.
• Administer business operations and governance support.
• Drive risk management and statutory compliance.
• Support governance and organisational development.
• Contribute to strategic planning of the Trust and day-to-day operations.
