Job summary

Compass Community Limited is seeking an Occupational Therapist to develop OT provision across our schools, working with an Education Team to shape practice and support learners to participate and gain independence.

HCPC registered therapists with SEND and trauma-informed experience will thrive in this role, which includes travel between Compass Community Schools to share best practice and build sustainable OT knowledge network.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and RCOT membership required.
• Experience with children and young people with SEND and complex trauma.
• Confident managing a complex caseload and working independently.
• Experience in providing consultation, advice and training to education or care teams.
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate recommendations in a practical way.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy consultation, advice and training to education or care teams.
• Support schools with environmental adaptations, equipment and functional strategies.
• Develop and mentor Compass OT Champions to spread knowledge.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support participation and learning.
• Travel across Compass Community Schools to support practice development.
