Responsibilities

• Develop strong professional relationships with the children and young people who have complex needs and have often experienced significant difficulties in previous education settings.
• Deliver planned learning through a range of creative and interest based activities.
• Understand the importance of emotional regulation and can implement strategies to support/model this appropriately.
• Have detailed knowledge of attachment disorder and how this impacts students.
• Follow the guidance in each person’s individual risk assessment/student plan to support them to manage their anxiety and behaviour in a positive way and to keep them and others safe.
• Utilise a range of strategies in supporting the range of additional needs we work with.
• You\'ll have the passion to support students as individuals.
• You\'ll have to have experience working with young people with a range of complex additional needs.
• You will need to have as strong a commitment to safeguarding.
• You\'ll have a creative mind and resilience that can handle challenging situations.
