We are recruiting a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to join our Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) MHST.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE IS ONLY OPEN TO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE COMPLETED A RECOGNISED EMHP (EDUCATION MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONERS) COURSE.
The successful candidate will be allocated to education settings (primary schools, secondary schools, and colleges) across B&NES.
Your role will be to assess and provide interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health conditions, including anxiety and low mood. You will deliver early, brief evidence-based interventions to address emerging mental health needs and support schools and colleges in improving student wellbeing.
You will also support schools with their Whole School Approach to mental health and wellbeing. B&NES MHST offers psychoeducation, therapeutic groups, staff training, workshops, and assemblies.
Your responsibilities include delivering 1:1 and group interventions to children, young people, and caregivers within your allocated schools, and supporting the Whole School Approach.
You will receive additional training, including accredited Decider Skills Life Skills training, to deliver the full range of interventions offered by B&NES MHST.
