A major mental health service provider in the UK seeks an Education Mental Health Practitioner / Children's Wellbeing Practitioner to deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people ages 4-18. The role involves working closely with schools, conducting assessments, and providing therapeutic support. Ideal candidates are qualified practitioners with experience in educational settings and excellent communication skills. At NELFT, we are the largest provider of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in England, supporting over 150 schools across Southend, Essex and Thurrock. We provide evidence‑based individual and group interventions to children and young people aged 4–18, and are committed to whole‑school approaches that foster lasting, positive mental health outcomes.
Qualified EMHP or CWP who can work independently within the scope of practice and has experience supporting children and young people in educational settings. Compassion, clinical skill and a collaborative spirit are essential.
Qualifications: Completion of the Education Mental Health Practitioner or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner PGDip is required. Experience delivering CBT‑informed therapeutic interventions to children, young people or families, including trainees, is essential.
BABCP or BPS Wellbeing Practitioner registration is desirable. Applicants must have applied for Wellbeing Practitioner registration with either organisation.
Vehicle access required to travel across Colchester, Clacton and Harwich.
