The Link, a Middlesbrough based mental health and wellbeing provider, is recruiting one full-time Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to start in October 2026. The role will be based within the InsideOut Team delivering mental health support across schools in South Tees.
The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, work across multiple educational settings, and travel to different locations. Access to a car is essential.
The Link is a Middlesbrough based professional mental health and emotional wellbeing provider. We provide therapeutic services to children, young people and families across the North Eastincluding Redcar & Cleveland, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and Darlington. Our services include a wide range of workshops and training, therapeutic assessments, one to onetherapeutic interventions including specialist therapies and Children and Young People Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT) evidence-based therapies.
The Link, along with other voluntary and community sector providers have formed a partnership to create the South Tees (Middlesbrough & Redcar) Mental Health Support Team, also known as TheInsideOut Team. We work with, and in schools, supporting children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues, through the whole school approach to mental health andwellbeing.
In line with the government’s priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people. The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time basis and will be basedwithin the InsideOut Team, to deliver mental health support across a range of educational settings in the South Tees.

The post requires working from various schools/locations across Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland, where multiple venues may be visited each day. Access to a car is therefore essential forthis post, as some locations are not easily accessed via bus routes.
