Summary

We are looking to recruit an Education Manager to lead and manage the Prison Education Framework to maximize contract performance, deliver quality provision, and exceed partner and learner expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing the curriculum based on the needs of the prison population, local labor market, and employers.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement processes are in place.
  • Setting targets with staff to meet financial and contractual goals.
  • Managing income and expenditure to ensure profitability.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external procedures for all contracts.
  • Recruiting, managing, and developing staff, and maintaining health, safety, and wellbeing standards.
  • Adhering to safeguarding policies.
  • Building and maintaining positive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promoting excellence in teaching, learning, assessment, and behavior management in custodial settings.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree and/or professional qualification.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Substantial teaching experience with ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and workload management skills.
  • UK Right to Work.
