Summary

We are seeking an Education Manager to lead and manage the Prison Education Framework, aiming to maximize contract performance, deliver quality services, and exceed partner and learner expectations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop the curriculum aligned with the needs of the prison population, local labor market, and employers.
  2. Implement quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
  3. Set targets with staff to meet and exceed financial and contractual obligations.
  4. Manage income and expenditure to ensure profitability and contract performance.
  5. Ensure compliance with internal and external contract procedures.
  6. Recruit, manage, and develop staff, ensuring health, safety, and wellbeing standards are maintained.
  7. Adhere to safeguarding policies.
  8. Maintain and develop positive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Promote excellence in teaching, assessment, and behavior management in the custodial setting.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree and/or professional qualification
  • Teaching qualification
  • Significant teaching experience with evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Experience in Quality Assurance
  • Strong organizational, planning, and workload management skills
  • UK Right to Work
  • Valid DBS clearance
