Job summary

Portsmouth City Council is seeking an Local Authority Education Link Coordinator to join the Children, Families and Education Directorate. You will build strong relationships with Portsmouth schools, offering practical guidance to support vulnerable children and families and help navigate Early Help and multi-agency services.

• Experience working with children and families in education, early help, early years or social care.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and understanding of local services.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with Portsmouth schools and provide practical advice and guidance.
• Support education settings to recognise early needs and identify next steps.
• Visit allocated schools regularly and deliver Link and Learn sessions.
• Facilitate discussions to help schools develop Family Support Plans and manage attendance challenges.
• Contribute to safeguarding training and practice alongside multi-agency teams.
